Infertility

Most women experience infertility, this is a condition of not getting pregnant even after having sex that is unprotected for a year or two. There are no symptoms seen, just there might be hormonal problems in either men or women. This can be treated with medication such as estrogen modulator, sex hormone suppression, and anti-diabetics. Some of the medical procedures involved are insemination(artificial), fertility drugs, Ovulation induction, IVF, or assisted reproductive technology and some counseling therapies related to psychological problems are performed by gynecologists. Treatment:

Fertility treatment in Women:

Guidance for the right time of intercourse for women(ovulation time)

HCG injections

Medications which include different types of drugs such as Clomid, metformin, repronex, Ovidrel, Pregnyl, Parlodel, Bravelle, and other medicines for fertility

Fertility treatment for men:

  • Varicocele
  • Premature ejaculation for men
  • Epididymal blockage
  • Retrograde ejaculation
  • Ejaculatory duct blockage

Important Preventive measures to take self-care for Infertility for both men and women:

  • Men should avoid long hot tub showers
  • Avoid exposure to overheat
  • Quit alcohol and smoking
  • Don't live in a harmful environment where chemicals are overly in the air
  • Get regular checkups with the doctor
  • Men should eat a healthy diet to increase sperm count and quality
  • Women should have a balanced diet to maintain a healthy weight

Besides infertility, other underlying diseases must be treated to lessen the overall impact on conception for example women with diabetes or hypothyroidism must get the right treatment for the management of the diseases, for men, it's important to get treated for Cushing’s syndrome, diabetes, anemia, or any other underlying diseases that are impacting sperm and fertility possibilities
